Thinking of switching to new bank current a/c. was created by Dajs
If you switch to another bank, then your incomings (DD's and standing orders, including dwp monthly payments) automatically get re-routed to your new account, as part of the switching procedure. The person switching does not to do anything, as it's all handled automatically by the new bank.
I'm just wondering if this could trigger a request for bank statements from the dwp or even bringing forward an upcoming planned WCA re-assement, that wouldn't have happened (so soon at least) had one not switched bank?

Hi Davs
Informing the DWP that you are changing bank will not automatically trigger a reassessment nor would it trigger a request for bank statements.

Thanks. Would the person switching have to inform the dwp of the change, even though the incoming payments from the old bank, including from the dwp, automatically get sorted by the new bank, who I understand inform the dwp themselves.

Hi Dajs
Yes you will need to inform DWP of your new bank account, if you are closing your old bank account.
If you are not closing your old bank account then carry on as normal. As we live in a digital world all accounts are linked.
