Hello,
I received an IS10 form back in March and duly returned completed immediately.
Having received nothing from DWP as acknowledgement, I telephoned them to check the form was received. This was confirmed as received.
I have looked at google to see current waiting times and see that 6 days is considered processing time on receipt of form.
May I ask how much longer I should expect to wait for a reply or payment please?
I am on IR ESA, PIP.
My husband is retired on state pension and in receipt of AA. No carers allowance claimed.

Hi Holysmoke
I expect they are checking the Mixed Aged Couple rules. But as you are the main claimant for ESA then you should qualify. You could phone the ESA section and see if you can get a reason for the delay.

Thank you David.
The DWP sent me the is10 out of the blue. (Possibly as they have realised I am one of those they had been missing paying).
When I checked my award letters since 2013, I notice I hadn’t received the DP.
It was only last year when my husband claimed AA so I presume it was at that point we became entitled to severe DP?

You are correct, The severe disability premium (SDP{) can be awarded in addition to any other premium that may be payable. It is £82.90 a week for each person who qualifies. To qualify:
~ You must receive a ‘qualifying disability benefit’.
~ no one gets a ‘qualifying carer benefit’ for looking after you. These are:
~ Carer’s allowance;
~ carer support payment; or
~ the Universal credit carer amount; and
~ you technically count as living alone
If you both get a qualifying disability benefit and no one gets a qualifying carer benefit for looking after either you or your partner, your SDP will be £165.80.
