Online volunteering when in receipt of ESA in Support Group was created by Cath50t

Hi, I have signed up for volunteering online with a charity. It’s 30 minutes, twice a week for 6 weeks at a time, helping kids with reading.
Do I need to contact DWP and let them know about this?
I’m hoping I don’t but thinking I might have to.
Any input gratefully received.

Here is the guidance from gov.uk

Working while you claim
You can usually work while you are claiming ESA if both of the following apply:

you work less than 16 hours a week
you do not earn more than £195.50 a week
You can do as many hours of voluntary work as you like.

Tell Jobcentre Plus about your work including any volunteering when you make a claim.
