Hi,
I'm due to migrate from irESA to UC and have timed my application to early August so Ive had both Housing Benefit and ESA payments come through.

I created the UC account today in readiness , knowing I have 28 days to file, but I received no confirmation email that the account has been created.
I can log in ok , and the system knows my mobile number for authentication, and I have also checked my spam box (using GMAIL)..
I would have thought that with something as important as UC there would be a confirmation email to say that the account has been created and giving you instrauctions to complete within 28days as a reminder?
Is this not the case?
Thanks.

Hi Matt

I set up a new UC account for a relative, and I went to check, only to realise that there wasn't an email confirming the account had been set up. The only emails they have received are about checking the journal. And I used a new email account - so it's not like one has been lost.

Hi. I verified mine through email, when I started my application, so got an email with a code.
The second email I received after I had submitted the application (a few days later).
They don’t always text or email, so they probably are trying to get you into the habit of checking your journal.
It’s very stressful, but it’s not as bad as you imagine. I’ve had two face to face interviews.
One ID check.
One financial check.
Annoyingly I had to go to two separate appointments.
