UC migration Carer's Allowance was created by Madison AF
In the process of managed migration from ESA to UC. Now being asked via my Journal "can you confirm if you have a carer for 35 hours or more a week". I do have a carer but they don't claim Carer's Allowance. Why are they asking this and what response should be sent? Worried that they are trying to reduce the amount of LCWRA paid. Thank you.

Hi Madison AF
I don't know why they are asking you, but your response has to be a truthful one.

Thank you. I am the carer don't claim Carer's Allowance. I realise we have to be truthful but wondered whether they will deduct an amount for Carer's Allowance from his UC even though no Carer's Allowance is claimed?

Hi Madison AF
You have to be careful with what you say, if the person you care for claim SDP then this could be affected., depending on their circumstances.
