Attendance Allowance Claim Sucess

Just wanted to say yet again a really big thank you to the B & W team. I recently help my mum make a claim for attendance allowance. Using your guides and tips from the forum it made the experience far less painful. She has severe osteoarthritis and other health conditions. She didn’t want to claim as she saw it as a part of getting old and having to get on with it. Your guides and helpful hints made it clear to her on how to complete the claim form. Also, she began to see that she should be entitled given the level of care she was needing and getting from myself daily. She was awarded the higher rate and I can’t thank you enough as she can now afford to buy a wheelchair and won’t be housebound anymore.

Congratulations! Just to add to Gary's sound advice, you may be able to claim Carer's Allowance for yourself, too, depending on your own circumstances and how much help you give your mum. Have a look on the gov.uk website for all the information.
