ADP Review "change of circumstances?" was created by NTCohen
Hi there

Two years ago I got an ADP award for 2 years after a string of illness and cancer surgery left me with debilitating fatigue and functional neurological symptoms. At the time I was awarded higher for daily living but nothing for mobility, despite not being able to follow unfamiliar journeys by myself (I get disorientated and lost) although i did get some points for my ankle arthritis. At the time I was too fatigued and unsure to argue my case. It is now time for my review, is there any guidance on completing "change of circumstance" forms? In honesty my circumstances are pretty similar but I am worried as I have heard that ticking "no change" results in award being withdrawn.
How do you answer what has changed?

Thanks

Hi NTCohen

It's a review form you're completing. People put in for a change of circumstances when they want to alert the authorities to a change in their condition, generally in the hope that they can receive a higher award.

The advice to ADP claimants is the same as PIP claimants in terms of ticking 'no change' on a form. Claimants have to do what is best for them at the time of completing the form. If possible we suggest that even if you are saying there is no change - you still repeat what hasn't changed. See page 132 and 133 of the Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip

It is not true that claimants have their awards withdrawn if they just tick 'no change'.
