UC migration from ESA is complete, but there's no sign of the housing element was created by JK2019
I'm migrating from ESA and Housing Benefit to UC.
It's been 20 days and My UC account now shows an update saying 'Your statement is now available,' and I'll be paid in about 5 days with the correct amount showing, but no mention of the housing element.
I've already provided proof of rent and address, and these are confirmed and accepted by them in my journal .
I got my last Housing Benefit on the same day I applied for UC, then the claim was automatically closed, and I later received 2 weeks' worth.
What should I do? I haven’t received any letters yet, just the online update

Hi JK2019
What usually happens in the social sector when you apply for UC, the DWP will contact the social landlord to verify the rent and any eligible service charges, if there is a difference between what the tenant states and what the landlord states can cause a delay.
We would advise you to contact UC if there is no Housing Element in your UC award.

Hi Gary,
That's not the case. I'm renting privately and have already provided a letter from my estate agent showing the rent and address, as well as a utility bill as proof of address, 4 weeks ago when I started the migration process
Last week, they added a note to my journal saying that the letter from estate agent wasn't enough and that they needed the actual tenancy agreement, which I uploaded.
It was approved, and there’s a note from an agent dated 3 days ago stating:
"Feedback on proof of housing costs: Your housing has now been approved.
The statement about payment was received yesterday on the UC account.
If I need to contact them, should I leave a note in my journal or should I call? Sorry, I'm new to the UC system.

Hi JK2019
It's a matter of choice whether you want to phone the UC helpline or put a note in your journal. If you put a notice in your journal - they say they will reply within 72hrs. (They often don't).. If you ring, you may be able to get an instant reply to your query depending on what it is. I think it depends on what you are most comfortable doing.
