The latest news on the PIP review saga. was created by Onyx123
We are now coming to the end of the process. They said from the start of the claim we had more savings than we stated that is false. They have changed the amount of savings we have thousands more than we have now. Told them that it is not correct.
They called me and discussed how many accounts does my wife have and they said 5. She only has 4. Somebody at the DWP had duplicated an account add an extra premium bonds account that has thousands of premium bonds in it. The other account they said is a bond account. Premium bonds and bonds. On the top of the statement it says premium bonds and further down it says you added bonds. My wife reinvests small wins like £25.
Now they removing this non existant account and we are waiting for the result of removing the money from the non existant account.
Where you declare savings and investments, that has changed from adding your savings amount to wanting to know how much is in each account including your bank account. The adding the amount the bank accout will cause errors when calulating correct amouny of savings. Bank accounts are fluid, my wife only has her wages go into the account that pays bills, my account only has benefits go into it. Both are discounted if they are spent each month. If we state the amount they could say it is savings. I never got past that part and contacted the DWP. Who wants me to wait and not put how much savings we have now in until they correct their errors.
It seems to me they haven't got a clue what they are doing. On my bank account they seems to have given up working it out because it would take an accountant to work it out. 8 pages of transactions a month with money flowing in and out many times a day. My bank account is crazy. I back horses and all is legal. No earnings comes in, only money from winnings that is paid out again.

Hi Onyx123
I'm glad to hear that this saga is coming to an end. What a dreadfully stressful time you have had over it. I'm pretty sure the DWP will never acknowledge they have been at fault, apologise, or compensate you for what they put you through. (Though you could put in an official complaint when it's over and suggest compensation? It wouldn't amount to much)
