PIP Light touch review - invited to assessment

I completed the light touch review as my son's appointee, following the advice in the guides and didn't attach any further information as there is no change in his presentation or how his illnesses affect him since transferring from DLA to PIP as an adult.

I returned my the form in June and have now been invited to a video assessment which I wasn't expecting.

Has anyone else had an assessment after the light touch form has been completed? Not sure what to expect, do I go with the assessment guide for normal applications?

Hi Sunny

That is unusual, but it is not unknown. Hopefully, someone will be able to tell you about their experience.

Make sure that you record the assessment. And yes, I would prepare by looking through the same questions - they won't ask them all - but best to be prepared.

Be aware that there have been troubles with video assessments, and they sometimes go wrong at the last minute, and then they revert to a phone assessment. I hope this doesn't happen to you, but I wanted you to be forewarned.
