UC Claim Review Introductory Appointment

Hi all,

My son receives UC LCWRA. He has been sent a journal entry which has the following info:

'Attend your Claim Review introduction appointment by phone'

'We are reviewing your UC claim to make sure your payments are correct. We will explain the review and discuss what will happen next.'

He has not been asked to provide bank statements etc

I looked at his journal with him and he also had a journal entry entitled:

'Booked: Claim Review (UCR agents only)'

'This appointment is to review your UC claim, discuss the information you have already provided and for you to provide further evidence.'

And another entry cancelling the Claim Review (UCR agents only) appointment.

So this looks to me as though he is getting a full reassessment of his UC claim and they inadvertently sent him the appointment for the reassessment process itself, before the appointment for the introduction to the reassessment.

Has anyone else had journal entries like this or gone through this process and got any advice ? His appointment is tomorrow, which he only just realised because he doesn't check his journal and was alerted to the appointment by a text today.

I have looked at he UC Guide but can't see a topic for 'Reviews' We're not sure what he will be asked about tomorrow, so just wondering if anyone else has some experience of this type of appointment. Luckily it's a telephone appointment....

Thanks everyone.

Hi infegricks

I can't tell you what he might be asked - hopefully, one of the members might be able to help. Hope it goes well for him.
