Be aware that although you are your son's appointee, they may want to speak to him. If you don't want him to take part, then you need to inform them and give a reason why. Some assessors still try and push it and you may have to stand firm. If they just want him to confirm his name and you're happy with that - go ahead - but don't let him be pulled into answering other questions if he cannot give a good account of himself.
