unexpected call from PIP - panicking

Hi

I sent my PIP review form last July.
In January, I got a text from Serco, saying "we are managing your PIP assessment".

This morning I had two missed calls from 0800 2600700
According to a web search

"The number 0800 260 0700 is a verified UK freephone number used by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and its contracted partners for health and disability assessments (such as Work Capability Assessments and Personal Independence Payment reviews).

Primary Function: It is utilized by the Centre for Disability and Health and similar assessment centers to contact claimants, typically to confirm appointments scheduled for the following day or to conduct pre-assessment checks."

I am now in a state of panic. Why did they call me? It seems they are going to insist on a "health assessment"?

Replied by David on topic unexpected call from PIP - panicking
Hi Faith

If you or someone on your behalf phones them back you won't speak to the " health professional " who is carrying out your assessement but to one of the telephony team who can update you with the reason for the call.
