Hi JenBiddy40

PIP is awarded where a claimant's condition impacts them for the majority of the time. You were awarded PIP on how you were at the time. Just because you now might have a few hours when you get a burst of energy - does that substantially alter what you can do for the majority of the time? Not yet - so there is nothing to tell the DWP. You didn't lie at the time of your application, and you haven't yet reached the point where you can report an improvement. There isn't anyone from the DWP watching to see whether you go out in a wheelchair, or even to see if it's possible for you to drive. If you get to the point that you can get back to work - that would be an improvement the DWP would need to know about. However, there are plenty of people who work and have an award for PIP.

I can't tell you what to do here, but I think at this early stage you are overthinking it. If you want to try leaving the house and you have a sudden spurt of energy, try it and see how you get on. Hopefully it will be something you will be able to repeat, but until you try you won't know. If you feel that your health has already improved so that your award would be affected, then it's up to you to inform the DWP, but it still doesn't sound like it. Only you can decide the right time to inform the DWP of improvements, but you won't get in trouble for trying something - that's part of getting better or finding your needs change.
