PIP Tribunal Hearing was created by Mo
Hello all,

I have a chronic neurological disorder (cluster headaches) and require high flow oxygen several times a day and night.

I am also using a catheter, having to drain my urine manually.

I have a PIP tribunal hearing due next Monday and was after some advice with regards to the approach.

What should I prepare beforehand and what should I expect to be asked?

The DWP revoked my mobility component previously, making me house bound. This process has been going on for over a year. Bit worries about it, to be frank.

Thanx for reading,
Mo

Hi Mo

You should have received a pack from the Tribunal services which includes your last assessment and any other paperwork which is part of your case. You should also know why they took away your mobility.

The panel who will have access to the same paperwork will ask you questions about how your condition affects your mobility and how often. I can't tell you exactly what they will ask, because it can vary depending on how much information they already have and whether they think there is information that is missing.

They will always give you a chance to talk, so I would advise you to write down a bullet-point list of issues that you want to get over to the panel - so you can refer to it if necessary.

I hope it goes well for you. If you think you are going to need a break at all, or you are in pain, or especially tired - tell the panel chairman at the beginning of the tribunal.
