Sorry for asking so many PIP questions lately and thanks for the answers so far. As the title do you always need to need these to get the daily living component of PIIP? As part of the guide reads as if you do. I'm a bit confused, thanks.

Hi Meconopsis

It's impossible for me to give you a definitive answer. The majority of claimants who get the daily living component probably require assistance, prompting or supervision for some of the questions, but I expect there are people who only require limited help or none at all - but still meet the criteria. However, I suspect those that don't are in a small minority.

Lots of people don't actually have any assistance from another person even though they need it, but they still get awarded the daily living component of PIP.
