If anyone else has this from the decision maker - " wheelchair could be obtained through the NHS wheelchair service if required".
Do check out the eligibility criteria as this is quite likely not to be correct.
NHS wheelchairs can only be obtained if the applicant meets the NHS eligibility criteria for the local area wheelchair service. The criteria are quite strict, the NHS does not give wheelchairs out unless they really have to. If use of a wheelchair is detrimental to the person's condition or the person does not need special seating for postural support, they are quite likely not to qualify.

Thanks for your update. Just one question, for our Scottish and Welsh members would it be the same as far as the NHS is concerned in Scotland and Wales ?
