Hi everyone. I was in recipt of middle rate dla care component for my emotionaly unstable personality disorder, but in April it was taken away. I'm now trying to get it back my doctor says i have a good chance of getting it back ( i filled in my renewal form without help ,not a good move) and i have been eligable for dla since i was 11 years old and i'm now 28. I was wandering if i should rely on my doctors belief, Mum says i shouldn't rely on it to much, but i dont see why i shouldnt as i have involvments with the mental health team and my ental health hasn't changed I have also put down my physical problems on the form i have a chronic back disorder(sciatica) rhematoid arthritis in my knee and a splintered bone sticking out of my knee cap plus nerve damage in various parts of my leg plus a swollen foot due to sciatica and muscle spasams that last for weeks also caused by sciatica. I really strugle around the house geting out of bed geting in the shower and sometimes walking bacause of my physical problems and i was wandering if i may be intitled to lower rate care for them ?

Did you appeal the April decision removing your MRC or are you making a new claim for DLA?
I'm afraid it is really difficult for us on the forum to form an opinion as to whether someone should qualify for DLA or not, there just isn't sufficient information and we're not trained to assess claimants, but I would have thought that if anybody had a reasonable view of your limitations then it would be your GP.
