PIP 'How your Disability Affects you ' form

Hi S1,

You can post it on guaranteed signed for next day delivery.

However, it must be done as early as possible in the morning of the preceding day.

It will cost you more to use this facility at The Post Office.

It is your responsibility to take all reasonable steps to ensure that they receive it by close of business on the deadline date.

Remember, Monday is a Bank Holiday, so there will be no postal service that day.

Thank you very much Gordon and bro58.

I only waited so long to get my doctors letter sorted.
I will send the form (it's not completed yet) and send it first thing in the Tuesday morning by special delivery.

I will keep you posted with the response from DWP.

It's a horrible process and it's very unfair for people who are already suffering day to day basis. Without your help I couldn't have done any of it.

Many thanks again.

Hi S1,

For your information and anyone else's in a similar predicament.

If you have to return "The Form" to comply with the deadline but feel that there is extra evidence that you want to add, it is far better to return "The Form" to arrive back by the deadline with a short covering letter explaining that you are awaiting further evidence and will forward it to them when you have it.

Keep a note of the return address, and when you have the extra evidence post it to the same address ASAP with another covering letter stating that this is the extra evidence referred to when you returned "The Form" and you wish it to be taken into consideration along with "The Form" .

There will always be a period between them receiving "The Form" and them acting upon it.

So it is far better to ensure that they have "The Form" by the deadline date therefore avoiding the possibility of your claim being disqualified or your benefit stopped for non return of "The Form" by the deadline date.

Hi Stone1

I too have having a "review", aka going through the whole process again. All 52 weeks before expiration, and have been sent a form now opposed to 14 weeks before expiration. Would you be interested in exchanging private contact details - I can suggest some information I have received from professionals locally which you might be interested in. It is local to my area but it may help signpost you.

Tks

I'm afraid the forum does not support private messaging and forum rules do not allow us to permit private emails unless we have explicit permission from the member to allow it.

Although posting in the forum is restricted to subscribed members, the forum can be read by anybody on the internet.

Hi Equal,

Thank you for your kind offer but like Gordon explaned we cannot exchange or private contact details.
However; you can still share your experiences and knowledge in here with all of us if you would like to.
With this way, you will be helping many people. (Of course it's entirely your choice )

Thanks again,

Stone1
