bunnydrop wrote: Thanks bro58. How can I tell difference from an award letter to an uprating one please. I think it was an updating as you've said. Didn't know there was such a thing. Just thought I would check. If it is then I guess I'm back to a waiting game an not out of the woods yet. Many thanks. I check back as soon as I'm able. Person who read letter to me just assumed It was my award, as I'd sent claim in. I dint look as I couldn't cope. I only posted here as I thought award was short. if its an uprating, it makes sense. I'm glad I asked, but worried again, an in limbo. Thanks for your patience. onwards and upwards.
Hi bd,
I think you have misunderstood !
The extract that you have written does sound very much like a proper Decision Notice letter.
It would be normal for a Decision Notice letter to include ".It says my award if from 20Feb 2016- 2 December 2016.", but as explained that is not the recommended length of the award before reassessment. It is simply tied in to payment of The Xmas Bonus.
The only way to be sure is to ring ESA, they should be able to confirm things very quickly.
Another member received a very similar letter last week, rang ESA as advised, and it was confirmed that they had been placed back into The SG and they were also told the recommended date for their next reassessment.

bunnydrop wrote: PS bro58 if it helps the letter is from Jobcentre not where I posted my reassessment ESA50 form, if this helps. No other leaflets were included. My form was due in by 23feb, and I sent it back on 19feb. this letter was dated 28feb, although Ive only just got it. So if it is an award, its super quick!.
Your ESA50 would have gone back to Maximus not the DWP.
If would be very quick to have processed your re-assessment without a face to face between the 19th and the 28th, but not impossible. The only way you will know is to contact the DWP.

I can't find any info on certain things. I would like to know what to expect at the medical. I will be taking my career with me. Am I allowed to write answers on a pad... should I not be able to actually speak, as I can go mute in very stressful situations. Should my career request this when we arrive, and before we proceed. I don't want them to have to speak up very time on my behalf. What sort of things do they ask. Are they trick questions. Will they ask my career questions directly also. The letter says bring medications..do they mean a lost or actual boxes. Should I assume they have read my notes, or should we take a copy of my esa50njust in case. Many thanks. I'm so worried Ive come to a halt nearly, so any links , advise will be great.

I've merged your latest post with your ESA topic so we can see what has been advised previously.
There's a section in the ESA Claim guides, towards the back that goes through the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.
I wouldn't say that they are trying to trick you but some of the questions will appear unrelated to your claim, for example; do you watch the TV? If you say yes then the assessor will assume that you have good concentration, have no problems with your sight or hearing, have good concentration and can sit for prolonged periods of time.
I can't see any reason why your answering with notes would not be acceptable if the alternative is that you cannot answer at all.
The assessor may direct questions to your carer but I would expect the vast majority of them to be asked of you.
As to the medicine, you can take a recent repeat prescription form if you have one or empty boxes, I wouldn't take any medication with you except for anything that you would normally take that day.
They should have all of your notes but you might want to take a copy for yourself so you can refer to it if needed, but if you do then explain why you are.
Best of luck
Gordon
