1. No CPN after 18years due to cut backs... will this go against me.?
2. Dr and mental health team dont call me agrophobic..just mobility problems. I have never gone out alone for approx. 15 years, and can't always do that. Should I say mobility problems as the diagnosis? as well as panic disorder.?
3. What if they have never heard of Shuzo Affective disorder ?, as I get this alot.
4.Should my career hand over the sea form he did for me before we start interview?
5.He thinks he should write a separate note pointing to key facts, would this be wise?
6. Are we expected to say that although he is my full time career, father of my Son, That due to my illness, we parted, as it affected his health, and is better for us a a family unit. We were married 15years, split ten years ago. he moved ten minutes away, and has my Son 4dayas a week. Do we need to be so personal, or wait to be asked?, as he doesn't want them to think he's just some bloke I got pregnant by if you get my drift.
7If I were asked the question of a pet, which we have... will I/he get time to say, I'm not responsible for walks etc, although the dog was got for myself as well as my Son, who cares for it?
8. I can't shake hands with a stranger I'm scared of, and don't like germs, Will this annoy them?
9. Hoe dose one get them to slow down and listen, if I'm stuttering, can't think fast enough, panic, as I don't want interview stopped, as I can't do it all over again?.. if I faint I guess they'd have no choice?
10.Is there a sink in office, if you were to actually be sick..or do you ask, and do they allow you to use a toilet?
11.If this were to happen, can my man come with me?
12.If he's asked to wait, should I need to go out of room to compose myself, do they question him in my absence?
13. Is my man allowed to asks all questions to stop until I return.
1.Even when depressed, if with a stranger, I over stare, have to much eye contact?, should I try not too, or just be as I am. as its hard to do something I cant.I also do this as I'm hard of hearing an until I got hearing aids I had to look ,as I can't understand.
14.If I don't get support group, should I ask why, and how do I do this?
15, Is it worth fighting at appeal if needed, as I'm so weary now... could you leave links on how to start if I only get drag group please
16.If it was no points and JSA...what then. Dr said she would definitely fight my case, I'd probe get emergency con to cover me, as I'm a suicide risk?
17.What do you live on money wise if I'm not fit for JSA, but can't get esa?
18.Will I get no rent help?, or is there a crisis fund.?
19 dose dla stop if I loose sea, until sorted?
20. although I get low mobility and middle care dla, I fear I won't get any now? are medicals similar to esa?
21.If I don't claim new pip when asked, as I feel its so bad for my current health, as its not only mentally decking me, but is now affecting my phisyaly,..would this be dart, and go against me with further sea claims.
22. why are we assessed so often if we have on going chronic illness?, are they hoping I will die, or give up... my man/career wants to ask an MP, but he's so busy with me, our son and his own health as he is 61 now, its all to much.
23. Dose this lima computer thing generate radon questions, or ones based on me personally.
24.If I don't understand a question, can I say that, and pause to answer.?
25. should I take old Caremworker. letter and consultants, as well as upto date Dr letter of help?, I didn't get any this time round, only gp, and that was tricky for her she said?
26.My mum and Dad said they would write a short letter if it helped stating that If I was in the group I'm in now it would be extreme serious for my health..Would this seem too pushy. Mum and dad are so upset for me, as well as angry, so I thought I would ask.
27.Many THANKS for any advice to this question, or links, and apologises for asking so much, but I feel I'm literally fighting for my life, health, an also the welfare of not only me, but my son, as he's so sad to see me go down, an fears I may go to hospital.
drift.

Hi bd,

As you can see, I have merged your other ESA related topics with this one for continuity.

Please keep all future ESA related queries to this topic.

In my 5 years as a Mod I cannot recall a member posing 26 questions in one post, so you have the record. :)

A lot of your queries can be answered in our : ESA Claims Guidance and Resources

I will try to answer your questions briefly, but I do not have the time nor the inclination to give in depth responses to 26 queries.

1. No, it shouldn't.

2. Mobility problems are tied to physical limitations in "Mobilisiing", if your inability to go out is down to MH problems that id covered by the MH section of our guides and The ESA50.

3. You should have explained about this in your ESA50. However, it is the limitations caused by a medical condition that may or may not give an ESA award, rather than the medical condition itself.

4. Yes, if you have any evidence that you wish to be taken into account, this should be handed to the assessor before the start of the assessment.

5. He can do, it will do no harm.

6.No, they will not be interested in your personal life details such as this.

7.If you have a pet but are not able to provide care and exercise for it, state that.

8. No.

9.They should make allowances for your limitations.

10. There should be a sink, and Yes you can use the loo.

11.Yes.

12.They can't question your companion unless you want them to.

13.They will not continue with the assessment until you return, they are assessing you not your companion.

14.Too early in the process to answer this query. You will not be told on the day.

15 Wait and see what the decision is first.

16.Even if you had to claim JSA, whilst an MR process was ongoing, they have to make allowances for your limitations.

17.You can claim JSA with reduced conditionality to your claimant commitment, so this shouldn't happen.

18. It would not affect your HB payments, you can even receive those with a nil income.

19. No,

20. No, PIP is different.

21. No.

22. Constant assessments and reassessments are Government Policy.

23. All LiMa question are pre-set and are the same for all to cover physical and mental health problems. You can read what questions to expect in our ESA Claims Guides for MH Conditions.

24. Yes.

25.Yes.

26. Mum and Dad can write a letter of support if they wish, and you can use it.

If you feel that you need support and advice due to a deterioration in your MH problems you should contact your G.P.

Other potential sources of help and support can be found in This Topic ! :)

Thanks bro58, so sorry we asked so much. panic is setting in. you have covered all we need. My man will follow links. Apologies for not linking the correct place. I hope I haven't annoyed you,I never meant to. I should of thought ahead that its too many questions in one go, but we wanted to ask as much as possible as forum may close at easter. Thanks for your patience, and I will be more thoughtful in my approach, and use links. We are both not fluent on computers. He's going to print things off now so we don't have to search. Easter blessings.

Hi bd,

I try not to get annoyed with members and endeavour to look at things from their viewpoint !! :)

When I first became a member, I knew nothing at all about ESA, DLA or PIP, so I read and read and read the guides until I did.

The best way to prepare is for you or someone else who is supporting you to read through our guides.

Mods cannot possibly answer all queries in depth, we are here to encourage self-help, and to point members towards the relevant guidance and to supplement our guides.

Most of the time, we go above and beyond that and try to help members as much as we can !!! :)

None of us are qualified to deal with, or support members with MH issues, we simply try our best !! :)

Try to stop worrying about what "may" happen, as it probably won't !!! :)

Cheers

I understand now bro58. We will be more careful. We are not used to forums, and how to post etc, but the links you sent fully explained how to keep post in relevant places. I am going to get help with reading the site better as I was at fault today trying to do it alone. I fully respect your position, and more so now that its been explained to me. We will keep posts relevant and in order. I will get searches done before asking, as I can see I did waste your valuable time. I am being fully supported with my MH. I now realise its daft of me to waffle on about MH issues. I was panicked and got carried away. I have taken on board fully what you have advised. You all go way beyond, and do more for us all than we could ever say thanks enough for. I feel much clearer now, and not worried. Thanks for your patience. Rather embarrassed, now I look at all those questions!, but hey ho, no harm done, and others can learn from me... ha! ha!. Have good Easter. I post back when Ive been seen.

Hi bro58, just to update, and a question. I got an easement date through. Was set for 29 march. Got all ready. Then a couple days before a letter came, saying sorry we can't see you, but will send you another date to attend, by letter. I was miffed as I just want it over and done. Is this normal to be cancelled. I thought maybe it was because of easter. I didn't get anyone to ring to find out why. Thanks.

I'm afraid it is quite normal, all of the AP's overbook their assessor's diaries and then have no redundancy if someone goes sick or leaves.

I wouldn't make a complaint for one cancellation unless it has caused considerable distress or financial impact, but you might consider it if a second one is cancelled.
