hi Gordon thank you very much for your last reply to me a few days ago, sorry to bother you again but on the claim form I am filling in it states how I cope on good days and bad days, everyday is the same for me and its never a good day I only have bad ones, should I not answer anything about days or should I say I only have bad days? I appreciate any advice from you on this matter, these last few weeks trying to gather as much information from gps, specialist respiratory teams etc has been very stressful and hard and I can now see why so many contemplate suicide, some are stupid questions and if a health professional knows thir stuff then they know the answers to the stupid questions they are asking, this site has helped me cope no ends and I am greatful it is here to use
thank you
jimmy

Jimmy

To be clear, you are saying that there is no variation in your limitations from day to day or week to week, if this is the case then say this on the form. However, if there is any variation then you need to explain how you are at your worst, on average and at your best and for each of these give an estimate of the time that you are like this.

good evening Gordon and all members. just letting you all know I have now sent in my completed claim form with a lot of other bits like, gps letters. specialist letters and respiratory team leader letters and other letters from people who deal with me with my health, I even sent in letters of proof of me using a wheelchair, having hearing aids and all bits they require information on, so its now waiting for the dreaeded brown envelope to come through with their decision, but having heard so many horror stories about decisions they make I am expecting to have to go through the steps of mr and appeal. I would like to thank Gordon and everyone who gives advice on here for the help in doing my form as I would never know where to start and I am really appreciative of all your help. I will update the site when I receive my decision but I don't know how long this will take to come through. one final question till I get my decision is, on the 30th april they sent my claim form to me and I never got it till he 9th of may saying they wanted it back by the 30th may 2019,but today I got another letter today sent on the 19th may 10 days since I first received my claim pack saying they have had no reply from me as yet and if I don't reply my dla and claim will be stopped, but to cover themselves they say ignore this letter if you have sent your claim back in the last few days, so I am wondering if I should keep this letter in case of any problems in future as I think its harassing me (and probably others) to send back a claim pack with not enough evidence in it, is this normal from them? I can tell you all now that yesterday 23rd may I posted my pack back to them by first class tracked mail ( £7.40) but worth it to know it was with them and signed for at 5.38 am this morning so cant say my claim is not on time. as I say like you all its just a case of waiting now for decision to know if I have to go for a face to face or a decision and then the mr and appeal and that will mean more trying to get people to write me letters at the drop of a hat to get stuff back on time to them, I don't expect any professional to stop normal health care to just write me a letter to satisfy the dwp. anyway everyone have a nice holiday weekend and enjoy the weather if you like it hot. I will update asap and once again Gordon I thank you as I could not have done all I did without your advice.

Hi Jimmy

The letter you received is a standard one that is sent out to all claimants about two weeks after the claim process has been triggered. It's supposed to be a reminder to send the form in. I always think it's advisable to keep any paperwork that is relevant to your case.

hi all and a good evening to you all, I just want to say I have now returned from my holiday and received the dreaded brown envelope we all struggle to open without fear, but before I tell you all my result I just want to say a special thank you to Gordon for all the help and advice he gave me when I never knew what I should be doing in my claim for pip, without Gordon and all the others who advised me on stuff I would have struggled to fill in the first page, anyway I just want to let you know that I was awarded the enhanced rate for both components until july 2029 so that was a great relief for me, so thank you everyone for the help and support you gave me, to all who are waiting on a decision to come keep your chin up because as long as you tell the truth about yourself and get the proper supporting info from the people who count then you have nothing to worry about, just be as honest as you can. just because I have had my decision does not mean its the end of me on this forum as it is not, I will keep on coming on and if I can be half the help to others as Gordon was for me then I will try help each and everyone I can, thank you all, good luck from me jimmy
