The letter was £25 which is why I was a tad annoyed about it. I have emailed the medical centre about it, I don't know if it would go against me or not, it's just a very basic letter considering I paid for it, I don't expect some long essay but I do expect my actual health conditions to be stated correctly and for her to put a tad more explanation.

I wouldn't need to do an MR apparently, you can take it straight to appeal with it being ESA that's why I was asking if there is any point in her writing a letter now or rather rewriting it with the assessment centre asking for further info.

Hi WF2K

We can't tell you what to do here. I don't think even if we could that there's a right or a wrong answer and you will have to go on gut instinct. In one of your previous posts, you were disappointed in what your GP had written because of the language used and the lack of explanation. You also said the GP has been asked to provide more information. I don't know whether they have already done this - but to me, that would be the greatest concern. Will the doctor give similar information to the letter now in your possession? If they do so, you might be left thinking that they have not made a strong enough explanation of your medical condition and difficulties. I don't know whether the letter your GP gave to you, might be all they are prepared to say. The only thing you can do, if you want to know is to ask. Some GPs are unaware of how their language can damage a claimant's chances of being awarded the level of benefit they hope for.

So it is up to you whether you send in the letter, talk to your GP, request another letter or leave things to follow through in their own time.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering, I mean it could have been that she may have been hurrying to write the letter because the assessment was on the 22nd but it doesn't mean she couldn't have added a little more info in the letter, it was very basic considering I was charged for it, I had a letter written in 2017 to support a home assessment and that was straight to the point, it wasn't much shorter than the recent letter and it was free.

I already emailed and told them that I wasn't happy with the letter and explained it had caused me to become very anxious etc due to the fact they've been asked for further information for my esa claim, I'm waiting for a response about it.

If I had know that the assessment centre was going to request further information, I wouldn't have asked for the letter in the first place to be honest.

Hello,

I hope everyone's doing ok.

My son received an email from the assessment centre, it was the lady who has been advising us and such. She said that they have been able to obtain further info from my GP and that the HCP? has reviewed my file again along with the GP's information and that they have decided that I don't need to have an assessment. She said the HCP will send the report onto the DWP and it will be up to them to decide in regards to my benefits. I'm hoping to be put in the Support Group, but we'll see!

Thanks again for the advice and support.

Just wanted to query something, I've read that you can only be put in WRAG or SG and they can't deem you fit for work if it's a paper based assessment, is that correct?

Also, IF they were to put me in SG, does it get back paid at all?

I've been told there's a bit of a wait atm which is fine because I'm currently receiving legacy ESA, WRAG though.

Thanks in advance. I hope I made sense above, I didn't get much sleep last night.
