Maybe it would be easier to claim HB instead of ESA if I get short of money whilst waiting for the sale?

My impression is that the rules for HB are substantially the same as for ESA(IR).

Thank you but no medical or interviews with HB ! I am really concerned about claiming for ESA because I imagine people at my local job centre having access to my personal medical info plus I categorically could not cope with seeing job centre staff face to face when they know my problems. I do not expect this is your area but how do people cope with this type of situation? Somehow the doctors having your personal medical info does not seem anywhere near as bad as your local job centre having them. Can I apply for ESA and not include some of the conditions I included on my PIP claim do you know?

Jobcentre Plus staff do not have access to a claimants medical information on the computer system.
All DWP staff are bound by the Data Protection Act and only have access to information that they need in order to perform their jobs. The staff that accept and process a claim are a central pool of staff and are not attached to your local JC+ office.

Do the central DWP send info across to Job Centre Plus to indicate briefly in which way you are limited to work so that Job Centre Plus know how to deal with you?
