Just because the DWP have told you this does not make it correct.

it is what actually happened to me, Gordon
my backpayment was refused by review panel and they said they could only deal with the migration date
I had to deal with my area ESA department for anything later - and it was my area department who reversed their decision and agreed I was eligible for the backpayment,
- them who received all my bank statements for 4 years
- them who calculated what I was due
- and them who paid me the money, in 3 large payments

Yes I received the letter saying saying backdated from this year May 2019. Also says if you want to reconsider you have to so I will be sending a reconsideration in the post as well as the one I did the other day was over the phone but have recurved no letter stating I can appeal. Best thing is to send reconsideration and see what they say before I run out of time

But surely as my circumstances changed and it was after they found out that the dwp were making errors they should of updated their system and I should of automatically gone over to esa iir?

So did you appeal? Also who is the area esa? Sorry never heard of them. If need be where and how would I find them, and do they charge. I apologise for the questions but I’m stressed now as I feel I need to go through all this for the money that was owed to me and being ill doesn’t help. Could you tell me how you went about it once the review came back?

That's the whole basis of the review, the DWP did not look at ESA(CB) claims during and after transfer to see whether any ESA(IR) should be paid.
