I have already posted a query but I’m not very good at this so probably lost it. I have received my brown envelope after being on disability living allowance for several years indefinitely. I have now scored eight points which entitles me to the same amount of money I was getting as before for personal care but nothing for mobility.
from reading the report they seem to have completely misunderstood my answers and seem to think I am out and about every day because I said I was able to drive to a friends house locally for a coffee. There is stuff in their reply that I simply haven’t said and I just feel it is very very unfair. I do not know whether to ask for them to look at the decision again but From reading all your advice I would be chancing losing my personal care award. Could you please advise me whether I should leave it until next year and apply for mobility again or ask them to look at their decision. Thank you, I hope this makes sense.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

We did answer your question over the weekend, see
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum/10-dla-e...129899-advice-please
We can't offer advice on whether you should request an MR or not, all we can do is provide you with information about how to do this and how PIP operates.
There is a risk to your existing award, it is not high but it is real, to give you a feeling it is probably six months since a member reported that their award had been reduced at MR.
Perhaps the place to start is whether you realistically meet the criteria for a higher Mobility award, the criteria for PIP is a lot stricter than what it was under DLA.
