Hi Sum

The idea is to push the DWP to put in their submission. There is no negative impact to doing this. The DWP can be very slow in responding to the Tribunals service.

Hi Sum

It's a nudge for the DWP - nothing on you at all.

Just to update all ,

I called the tribunal service asked to list case wirhout submission , as per B&W advice.

Agent was very nice and explained the process as follows :
agent will refer appeal to judicial officer for decision, likely this will result in DWP given more time to make submission . A new deadline will be set .
If DWP fail the next deadline then a hearing date will be set. Agent explained the benefits of the DWP submission for FTT panel to make a decision.

Hope this is helpful for others in this situation

Hi Our Pip journey has been looong so far and we cant yet see the light at the end of the tunnel .... quel surpris! I'd like to provide context and timeline of said journey with what i think r major pot holes along the way 10 May 2024 started online claim form on sis behalf. 30 May 2024 - request 2 week extn. new DL 24 Jun 24 24 Jun 2024 - unable to submit online appln. Priority given to medical hospital care & responsibilities for two family members. 08 JULY 2024 - family member passes in hospital. 05 Aug 2014 - GP informed sis that DWP asked for medical info. note the online PIP2 was never completed or submitted. 05 Aug 2024 - HAAS txt msg advised they are looking at the clm. We are confused as NO appln was submitted 26 Aug 24 - Recvd HAAS appt ltr dated 15 aug 24 29 Aug 24 - Appt with HAAS tel assmt. Grieving but following instructions as not to cause issues. 03 Sept 24 - PIP decision - no award 05- 09 Sept 24 - called PIP to set up formal appointee for sis 21 Oct 24 - DWP visiting officer appt for appointee process. approved 26 Nov 24 - chased confirmation of appointee decision. Caseworker was very helpful and proactive in dealing with my concerns. I was urged to submit online PIPform. the PIP2 link was revoked once I revisited and reattempted editing. 3 Dec 24 - started Mandatory reconsideration process + drafting paper PIP2 form. NOTE paper version supplied by DWP had pages missing, notably the sections related to journey and moving around !! thought i was going crazy 6 Jan 24 - submitted CRMR + PIP2 +evidence 5 Feb 24 - MR decision - no award on to Appeal im abit exhausted by this recount. I am wondering if the focus of my appeal should be on the fact decsions were made without a PIP form which contradicts the ltrs which state decsion were based on the infomation we provided on how disability effect ... i just need a prod in the right direction pls

I am finally ready yo submit sis appeal .... i have one section left to complete called additioanl info ' not sure what else to add . any advice ? dont want to miss out on oppo to strengthen the case .

Hi Sum

Any additional information is a catch all area where you can add relevant information that you could not fit in the form.
If you have specialist appointments sometime in the future you can add details here.

Look at the B&W guide, page 92:

The form also says that carers, friends and family can add information here. We would advise that, if you are getting supporting information from carers, friends or family you don’t ask them to write on the form, but instead get them to give you letters you can include with the form. That way, if they write anything that is inaccurate you can either ask them to correct it or not submit the letter at all.
