We have tel HAAS Appt scheduled for tomorrow pm ... feeling nervous
10 am today i got call from 0800 number. I missed it. Then i heard my son speaking to someone on the phone directly after the missed call. This is strange bec he isnt often awake at that time and he doesn't answer unknown numbers usually.
It turned out that HAAS called me and him. He answered. Call was :
-courtesy call to confirm and check that he would be ready for tel appt. I am his appointee so found that a strange question. i will be attending.
-they asked permission to record the call. I was surprised at that. Never been asked. always brushed off/ or request lost in comms
-they explained call maybe 30mins late. This is not surprising.
I've never had a pre appt courtesy call before. I cant imagine more resources avail to do this kinda scheduling logistics..... call me cynical but is this a tactic .. ie evidence re comms with clmt ?
Probably over thinking it right ?🤷🏽♀️

Sorry i had a momentary brain freeze n confusion - the HAAS call was for PIP not UC WCA process.
We still dont have a date for WCA assmt.
Do you think they will use one assmt for both processes ?

Hi Sum
No it won't be one assessment for both assuming it is done before 2031 and that would be after the next general election.
You will find information on this subject in the various BenefitsandWork News items as per below:-

Let me know how you get on.

Latest DWP response is as follows :
'Hello (name ),
Thank you for your correspondence received on 4th February 2026, which has been passed to the Universal Credit Complaints Team to respond.
Whilst we aim to respond within 15 working days, we are currently experiencing high volumes of work, and you may have to wait longer than usual for a reply.
You do not need to chase us for an update we will contact you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.'
I am unsure how this happened. i haven't submitted a complaint. i have requested, to the work coach to make reasonable adjustment for clmt .
There's no acknowledgement of MP query, to trigger UC complaint team involvement. Their post refers to my UCJ entry not any other requests. Its really unclear how their process works.
honestly their comms are sooo confusing 😕

Imo no one should be under any illusion that the DWP is less than opaque ... thats why this forum is so important.
It helps shed a bloody big torch on DWP
