Hi Denby, I didn't overlook that detail, which I believe is actually not a problem at all, for if I am absolutely sure I have done nothing wrong, I have nothing to fear, and if I am fearful, I am either guilty of something wrong, and thus I deserve it, or either am weak minded, and in the latter case this is something I should work on.

If people want to waste their time accusing me of murder, they'll only harm themselves. Not me.

Being disliked' or envied is certainly a very real problem, most of us have experienced it, but we can use the same method as above: if I am disliked, this must be right, or wrong. If the latter, then it's of no concern to me.

Envy would be the biggest problem, however. People can envy you because you are simply better than them, and they perceive the difference. It might be because you speak better, or because you are more composed, or because you seem happier.

These people can be dangerous, it is true. I have no easy solution for those, as they are often irrational and crazy. Just last week I went to the post office and passed by someone who seemed very angry and slightly drunk, who was sitting on a bench. He hurled abuse at me. I have learned some martial arts before so I felt I wanted to kick him Bruce Lee style, but that would have been a big, big mistake. So I did and said absolutely nothing, and continued to walk.

Now I avoid going that way entirely, and take the longer one. Which isn't a major effort.

Sorry about the long digression, but I think it's important to see the bigger pictures of something. The facts are this: the West is going through mad and uncertain times, the UK needs to step up its defense, money is tight and don't grow on trees, it's a privilege to have a welfare system at all compared to past times, and benefit fraud should be stamped out because it cripples all the useful, good and decent things mentioned above, which is absolutely unacceptable.

Unfortunately, some times more drastic measures have to be taken to solve problems. But I don't believe that just because someone not too right in their mind, accuses me of fraud, that the DWP will immediately mobilize its people. I would guess they would at least look for patterns about me that would make me look like a probable fraudster.

But yes, you are right. Some people will try to harm others unjustly. But that's nothing really new, is it?
As someone said long ago: it's impossible to live in this world and expecting to never find people like these.

Best we can do is to be careful about where we go, who we talk to, and how, while making sure there's nothing about us that can be used against us by the DWP, the police, etc.

LL26,

sure there are, I myself have it, chronic fatigue syndrome, since I was 15. That makes several decades. It has very significantly impacted my whole life. I am a complete hermit.

Still? My conscience is clean. I am not worried about crazy people accusing me of any breaks in the law; I haven't committed any, to the very best of my knowledge. To me, these people are no different than the pathetic man I mentioned before.

What I am worried about, is Long Covid, that would be devastating. And getting old.

For the former problem, I am buying a private vaccine from Boots every six months. For the latter problem, I have no solution other than trying to preserve my health in the usual recommended ways: not eating junk, doing some daily exercise, trying to get enough sleep (which became a serious problem).

Best we can do, is being careful about everything we do and everyone we meet. As they say: only the paranoid survives.

We all see the news about the benefit fraudsters: they buy sports cars, have billiards in their home, designer stuff.....stupid, crazy people. Just imagine how much harm can a single one of these can do.

But even defrauding the DWP for £ 100 is serious.

After all, why are benefits always being reformed? The reason why now someone who has LCWRA now is getting half of what people got before, and why people on LCW now don't get a single penny more, is because there's not enough money for all this.

Guess who we have to thank for that? Meanwhile all of us get more demonized because we are seen as plunderers who are having a laugh.
