The assessment rate will be paid until a decision is made(bearing in mind the 365 day limit for contributory ESA) whether this takes 13 weeks or 13 months.

Thank you

Hi all,
Mystery solved, it is an enhanced disability premium, added to my ESA assessment rate.
ESA claim is with decision maker so I assume it's been added because I was awarded pip, both enhanced rates.
Just hoping for the right result regards ESA now.

Hi all,
Just received a call from DWP.
The joker who carried out my assessment scored me NO points!
What a clown!
Never mind I am one hundred percent certain that a mandatory reconsideration will get the result changed and if not I will take it all the way to tribunal!
Worse thing about it is that I gave just come back from seeing my GP who in her words " if they write to me, your notes will clearly show how your condition affects you".
Help on my next steps appreciated please.
Ted

Hi thr64,
Sorry to hear that !!
Once you receive the ESA (fit for work) Decision Notice letter, you will have one month from the date of that letter to make a written request for an MR !!
See : ESA MR/Appeals Guidance.
Mandatory Reconsiderations Explained
Disability Rights UK Factsheet - Appeals and Mandatory Reconsiderations.
&
Sending Documents to the DWP, ATOS, Capita or Maximus.
You should be able to ring ESA :
THE ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA. (Open 8AM-6PM. Mon-Fri.)
To request a copy of The ESA85 Medical Report compiled by the Assessor at your ESA face to face.
How you then progress will be dependent on whether you need to claim JSA for some income whilst the MR is ongoing, or not !!
The will need to obtain a fresh fit note to cover you from the date of the fit for work decision, but you should not present it to DWP initially, see : This Post for further information.

Thanks bro,
I just the DM on the phone that I will not be applying for jsa, I informed him that if I was in a position to claim jsa then I would be working!
I must admit he was quite sympathetic on the phone but I suppose that's easy for anyone to do.
Thanks for the information bro.

I was given a new 3 month fit note today and was about to post it when the DWP called me.
Am I right in assuming that I just keep hold of this for my records?
