Also if then the DWP will then write so I explain points, then I write back and so on, how long does the appeal process take approximately?

If you have a look at the PIP Appeal guide it explains how to complete the SSCS1, you do not have to go into detail as to why you are requesting the appeal.

Appeals usually take 3-4 months

Thank you so much for all your help Gordon. Do you think it's worth me even just mentioning in the SSCS1 form that the letter looks outdated which I was sent (with old details on it) or shall I not even mention that?

I was just reading the Grounds for Appeal section and from what I can understand, I think it suggests to include any points I disagree with. I know you advised me against this, so do I keep it brief but mention why I disagree with all the activities/descriptors I disagree with?

It can't hurt and may head off any query that they have.

Yes you need to explain your reasons for appeal on the SSCS1, but you do not have to go into detail. Your submission, which you would send (if you do), once you have all of the DWP documents would be a detailed response to the issues raised.

So you might include a short sentence on the SSCS1 and multiple paragraphs in your submission for each reason, however, it is up to you how you organise your appeal, these are just suggestions.

hi hope you dont mind me msg you ,but ime in same situation as you , i sent my appeal off yesterday and t be honest found it very difficult trying to keep it brief but also give details as to why i disagreed with the points i was awarded ,, my advice would be give them your reasons for appealing in a few descriptos you feel you should of had cetain points for and remember to use the words ..reliably ;; safely ;;repeatedly when showing them what you feel you shuld of been awarded ,,like gordon said ,, you be able to go through all the descriptors when you recieve your pack from appeals ,ule know more detail then as to why they came to the decision and uu can then show them where and what you feel you should of been awarded in detail,. plus with your medical evidence etc you send to them ,, it took me seven attempts writing the appeal form ,it very time consuming and stressfull as i suffer mental health issue and lack concentration and get confused very easily ,but i kept trying and finaly think it looked and sounded ok ,there are eg; letter if you look on appeals guide to give you a idea of how to address your letter it helped me alot ,plus advice from the mods on here they been great ,wouldnt of had a clue unless i joined this group best thing ive ever done ,as ide of given up otherwise ,,but reading people outcomes on here the fight they have had i feel it important to see it to the end as ive come this far ,, theres always help on here if you need it so dont give up keep fighting for what you believe your entitled too .they want us to give up at first hurdle by makig things so difficult for us .
