Hi Gordon,
How long exactly do you get for the MC and can you get an extension? as I've got somebody writing me evidence and they are on leave, so concerned it may go past the last date

You have one month from the date of the Decision to submit a request for an MR, you can make a Late request at any time up to 13 months after Decision but you will need to provide your reasons for it being Late, the DWP do not have to accept these reasons and do an MR but you can still proceed on to appeal.

I meant I've already put in for the MC and want to know how long I've got and if I can have an extension on that time as someone is on leave who is doing me a letter

Did you ask for time to provide additional information? If you did then you should have been given four weeks from the date of the MR request, this includes postage time.
There are no specific extensions to the process, it is entirely at the discretion of the Decision Maker dealing with your claim.
