Yes, you should hear the result of the recon and you will get your 'bundle' of paperwork if your case progresses through to appeal.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

When you appeal, and that triggers a reconsideration,do they write to you to tell you the result of that reconsideration?

Hi J,

They "should" do.

If your reconsideration does not go in your favour, your appeal will be sent forward to the Appeals Tribunal Service, and you should receive a (bundle) Evidence Pack.

Is this question a bit hard to answer?

The Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence (CHRE) is an
independent organisation that is accountable to Parliament. Its main job is
to promote the health, safety and well-being of patients and other members
of the public in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. CHRE
oversees the nine healthcare regulators, working with them to improve the
way that professionals are regulated. They carry out research, develop
policy and provide advice to the four governments in the UK on regulating
healthcare professionals.
To contact CHRE phone 020 7389 8030 or to : www.chre.org.uk/

Hi J,

I must be honest, in that I hadn't heard of the CHRE until your post.

Most people who complain, do so to The NMC for Nurses or Midwives, or The GMC for "Doctors".

If you feel that complaining to the CHRE can help your cause, you have every right to use any avenue available.
