This from the taxman (my bolding) www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/upl...view_Version_4_0.pdf :

2.115 Benefits uprating – Most working-age benefits will be frozen for 4
years from April 2016.
This will apply to Jobseekers’ Allowance; Employment
and Support Allowance
; Income Support; Child Benefit; applicable amounts
for Housing Benefit; and Local Housing Allowance rates, with provision for
high rent areas. This excludes Maternity Allowance; Statutory Sick Pay;
Statutory Maternity Pay; Statutory Paternity Pay; Statutory Shared Parental
Pay; and Statutory Adoption Pay; disability, carers and pensioners’ premia in
the frozen benefits; the Employment and Support Allowance Support Group
component; and other disability, carer and pensioner benefits, which will
continue to be uprated in relation to prices or earnings as applicable.

Hope it helps clarify the B&W advice issues for forumites.

It does, but as the Government has majority this is unlikely to be an issue, the interesting thing will be who also votes for it.

Will the new WRAG affect people still waiting for a tribunal hearing. I was on ESA WRAG. Re assessed. Found fit for work, went to tribunal twice. Going back next Monday for my hearing again.

Hi M,

No, it will not affect you, only New ESA Claimants who are placed into the WRAG.

This new rule will apply for New ESA claimants from April 2017.

If the Tribunal find in your favour, they will only be Re-making the adverse decision, it will not be a fresh ESA Claim.

Good Luck, by the way !!!! :)

I suspect some of the answers to more detailed questions being posted here will be published by Government tomorrow when they post their new Welfare Reform and Work Bill.
