When I ring they just tell me I'm in a Que, I've recently been put on anxiety medication but don't think it's worth mentioning unless I have to appeal (witch I think I will) I've requested my medical records but there saying it will cost £50 to get a copy!! I will if I have to but I'd rather wait & see if I actually do have to appeal first. I don't want to leave it to long since I got the forms of the doctors for the records though. Don't know weather I should just get the smaller medical records for £10 instead. I hate this waiting, I tried to keep a medical journal thing but didn't follow it threw. Is there anyway I can make them hurry up with there decision? Surley it won't be long now
We seen a slow down in the PIP Decision making process since the New Year so you are not alone in waiting longer than expected to hear, I'm afraid there is no way to speed up the process.

I got all my medical records from my GP a few years back. £50 as you say. However it might be worth checking that you can ask for them at any point, what I mean is, my surgery only has someone do any requests for medical history such as this every 2 months....
No idea if this is the norm or not, however its worth checking. A 2 month delay if you really need the records pretty fast would not be ideal.
I must admit the waiting is not nice. Not nice at all.
My very personal way of handling it is to chase up ATOS on a number of matters. They still haven't got the tapes I made of my medical recording for instance. The Health Professional has still not forwarded them to ATOS after 3 weeks...
This and many errors the assessor made during the interview (according to the DWP Guide) formed the basis of a 4 page letter of complaint emailed and sent recorded delivery today. Im aiming to get a letter of apology for potential infringement of Data Protection policies, but we shall see.
Its just my way of dealing with the stress. I need to feel I am fighting back in any way I can.
Ive heard that if it goes to Tribunal the fact you haven't already complained to the company that provided the Health Professional is frowned upon. Not 100% sure of that, but having the complaint logged can do no harm.
Good luck and just try to put all this to the back of your mind. Easier said than done I know.
Ive even dreamt about "all this" a few times lately, its really got under my skin so I can sympathise with you.

Your previous posts don't mention another report, it's possible that they have contacted your GP, it's also possible that it is a standard text message that has been sent and no second report actually exists.
The most likely answer for the delay is that the DWP are pushing too many DLA transfers through the system and they are unable to keep up with the workload.
