Hello there LL22,

If it helps to be doing something in the meantime before you receive the judgment on your claim from the Decision Maker you can send a letter/ call the DWP to ask for a copy of the PA4 document.

This is the actual report the assessor made and shows all that they wrote down about you and also the points you gained. It's not the actual decision, but it gives you an idea of what the final outcome might be and an insight into how you were assessed.

There is a section on here about getting the report and I'm sure a helpful mod can provide a link to it if you can't find it.

It's handy to have the PA4 as it will help you work out the best way to appeal if you don't get a good decision about your pip.

It's the reason I requested mine and only took 3 days to arrive.

I can not read bus timetables or an analog clock but I can read a digital clock like the one on my phone, does this put me in the catagory "cannot plan the route of a journey"?

Hi
Unfortunately it is not as simple as that.
You could walk or use a different form of transport.

I don't understand, what do they mean by plan a journey?

You should take it literally, being able to plan how you would get from one address to another, you need to able to work out an effective route, it doesn't have to be the best route but if your route takes two or three times longer than an average one then this would likely be an issue.

You need to be able to recognise restrictions and dangers in the route, so as an example if you were walking, your route would need to show that you were able to cross roads at appropriate places, or if you were driving that you could identify one way streets.

The use of Public Transport is unclear, although the DWP guidance refers to it the legislation that defines the criteria does not. We have seen a number Decision Makers not award points for the of it but that does not mean that you should not make the argument if you have problems with it.

It's been over 3 weeks since my face to face assessment and still no decision. When I ring they just tell me I'm in a Que, I've recently been put on anxiety medication but don't think it's worth mentioning unless I have to appeal (witch I think I will) I've requested my medical records but there saying it will cost £50 to get a copy!! I will if I have to but I'd rather wait & see if I actually do have to appeal first. I don't want to leave it to long since I got the forms of the doctors for the records though. Don't know weather I should just get the smaller medical records for £10 instead. I hate this waiting, I tried to keep a medical journal thing but didn't follow it threw. Is there anyway I can make them hurry up with there decision? Surley it won't be long now
