Hello Everyone,
I'm not sure if anyone can help me, but I'm a bit confused about something. I'll try my best to explain it, so please bear with me!
I received two letters last week regarding my PIP claim. One told me of my new award, for standard daily living and enhanced mobility, confirming it will run until July 2019, from August 11th 2016 (my old award ran out on August 10th). So far, so straightforward!!
I then received another letter, with exactly the same decision maker's wording, but the covering page of this one said that they had looked at my claim and decided that from 9 May 2016 to 10 August 2016 they can still pay me standard rate for both daily living and mobility.....but attached are the list of points stating I score 14 points for mobility. This letter states that they will pay £153.80 into my account on August 11 to cover money they owe me from 28 July to 10 August.
However, it's now the 12th, and nothing has gone into my account.
So, two questions if anyone can possibly help please?
1. Is it right that despite them telling me I have 14 mobility points, they go on to say they are still awarding me standard mobility (from 9 May to 10 August)?
And
2. Is there any reason why they wouldn't have put the money they owe into my account on the 11th, as promised?
Don't worry if nobody can shed any light on this, I shall ring DWP Monday to ask, I was just starting to worry ..... you know how you do when you're never sure the award is real until it's actually payed in!
Thank you.

I'm afraid I am also confused by the letters! Is the 9th May date significant for you in any way?

It's the date I was sent the letter asking me to reapply for PIP.
Thank you, Mrs HB. It's very confusing, isn't it?

Hi Amanda. Did your original letter state your PIP was ending and was it dated 9th May? If you reapply the DWP continue to pay you until a decision is made on your assessment. Because you reapplied you was paid from 9th May until the date of your original decision 10th August at the old rate. It looks as though you get paid every 4 weeks on a Wednesday and had last payment 27th July. They therefore owe you from 28th July to 10th August at the old rate and you need to allow them 2 weeks to credit your bank before contacting them. Pip is paid 4 weeks in arrears so that is why you have to wait until 4 weeks after 10th August to get your new enhanced rates.
