I've just received a text message saying that they are reviewing my case and will make a decision within 15 days an that tgey will call me if they need any more info.

I'm guessing the call will actually be to say it's been refused?

Do they always call to let you know about the MR?

From what I've been reading most people seem to just get a letter in the post saying its been unsuccessful.

No, they rarely call.

I've received my MR letter and it says they agree with the assessors decision.

Is it normal to still score 0 points on everything?

They still keep saying that I can use a wheelchair but this really would be impossible for me.

I'm going to look through the guides on what my next step should be.

Can you let me know who I need to call to have my ESA reinstated at assessment rate?

Revision rates are low so it's not entirely surprising.

Have you explained why you cannot use a wheelchair, I think in a previous post you said that you could not sit in the chair at the assessment due to pain.

The ESA Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your ESA50, the assessment report and the ESA Claim guides to see how you might show this is the case.

Once you have written confirmation that your appeal has been accepted, contact the DWP office that dealt with your claim and ask for your ESA to be reinstated at the Assessment Rate, you will need to provide and maintain a Fit Note for payments to released.
