If I opt to do MR, and ask my consultant to explain that prompting would not be sufficient to enable me to touch raw meat, veg etc - should he write the letter titled as support for MR?

The thing is the Award says prompting for other activities where prompting would not work for me. eg the engaging face to face/mixing with others

The prompting points for activities such as washing, dressing, etc I can accept those because although prompting would not work, I can actually, eventually! do the activities but just not in a reasonable time.

It is the preparing/cooking a simple meal that I could not do at all even with prompting.so I think I should focus on challenging this one.

However the mixing with other people, where it says needs prompting to engage with others - this is a trickier one. Is the social support a majority of the time one, and the opd meant to be all the time? I am okay only with my son, but I see him as my 'social support'.and he is not here majority of the time. I very rarely have more than fleeting contact with anyone else (fleeting contact with delivery people).
I know that prompting isn't sufficient for me, not prompting by any person,but again how to prove this? Consultant wrote has not seen friends and some family members for years, only has telephone contact plus he writes extremely distressed with strangers, and all consultations done by phone. I .described on the Review exactly the difficulties. Do you think i need even more evidence from my consultant on this?

When i did the review paperwork, i took on board how you and another on the forum suggested to write about the need for social support. I did not mention my son because he is not here at the mo, and so described about the need for a person who I trusted implicitly and who was very experienced with my ocd. I did use the words that may be considered prompting type words but emphasised how the person 'reassuring, calming, explaining etc would have to be the right person( experienced with my ocd etc as described in earlier sentence). I explained the opd equivalent when having to be near people eg urgent tradesman - the before, during, after, and how I need support throughout by a specific experienced person. I don't think I could have described it any better. However, my consultant's letter detail is a bit briefer than mine (but of course the medical assessor seems to have not seen his second letter sent same time as the first with the Review form.
